Gemma and Andy were married at St Mary’s Church in Compton Dando followed by a reception at Coombe Lodge in Blagdon on Friday 11th November 2011.
Julie and Dean were married at St Leonard’s Church, Tortworth, Wotton-Under-Edge on Saturday 5th November 2011.
After the ceremony, small formal groups were taken outside then church before they moved onto their nearby venue Tortworth Court. Tortworth features some amazing grounds and whilst their guest were enjoying the drinks reception, we made use of the quiet grounds before continuing on with the formal groups. This was a long day for me and it ended with a very well executed first dance! Julie and Dean were a great fun couple to work with and I’m positive they will love their photographs!

Caroline and Jonathan were married at St John The Baptist Church in Frenchay on Friday 21st October 2011.
After their ceremony, small family groups were taken outside the church before moving onto their venue Mecure Bristol North The Grange Hotel (ex Ramada Grange) in Winterbourne. Caroline and Jonathan was a great fun couple to work with and I’m sure they will enjoy looking through their photographs!

Kelly and Nathan were married at S.t Mary’s Church in Almondsbury on Saturday 17th September 2011.
Sadly their day started with sudden burst of rain but luckily once we had arrived at their venue Eastwood Park, the Sun pushed away the nasty rain allowing me to catch up on their formal shots. Kelly and Nathan was a fun couple to work with and I hope they enjoy looking through their photographs.

Kerry and Gary were Married at St. Martins Church, Knowle on Saturday 3rd September 2011.
After their ceremony, the formal groups were taken in the church grounds. It’s not often I come across a church with grassed areas where groups can be taken without the background being decorated with grave stones!
Once the groups were finished, Kerry and Gary set off for their venue and choose to stop off on route at a near by park. The park offered some lovely areas for their photographs including a brightly decorated wall which was crying out to be used!… I think Kerry though I was crazy asking her to stand their, so it’s lucky for me it paid off!!!

Nina and Satpal were married at Tortworth Court on Saturday 13th August 2011.
This was my first Indian Wedding and I was amazed at how colourful they are compared to the standard English Wedding! My day started just before 8am shooting Nina’s preparations. From there I covered the Milni (the families meet and great in the rose garden), then the civil ceremony followed by the indian blessing, the speeches, the cake cutting, the first dance, the partying and so so much more… almost 16 hours later I finally finished!!!
Throughout their day I had various opportunities with Nina and Satpal away from their 300 guests. Although the time with them was limited, I managed to capture loads lovely shots in and around Tortworth. Below are just a few shots from their day.

Alex and Rob were married at Eastwood Park, Failfield on Sunday 31st July 2011.
The weather decided to be nice allowing everyone to enjoy the lovely grounds Eastwood Park has to offer. After the ceremony, their guests greeted Alex and Rob with a shower of confetti. They then enjoyed a relaxing journey in their wedding car to give them some alone time. On return, the formal groups were taken and time was then spent with just Alex and Rob. Sadly as it does, time passed too fast and before long, they were required for their wedding breakfast. So once their speeches were captured, we carried on with a few more making use of the changing light.

Katherine and Geordie were married at the Walton Park Hotel in Clevedon on Saturday 30th July 2011.
After their ceremony, small family group shots were taken in the grounds of the Walton Park Hotel. Following the groups, Kath and Geordie wanted to have some photographs at Clevedon Pier where they have a plaque celebrating their marriage and despite being a public place, I managed to capture some lovely creative shots whilst missing out the general public. Once we had finished, it was time to go to their venue ‘Walton Castle’ where their guests had already moved onto. Walton Castle is an amazing venue offering some fantastic photography opportunities. Whilst at the Castle, further groups were taken along with one of the highest bouquet throwing’s I have ever seen!!!

Katie and Courtney were married at Wraxall Church on Saturday 16th July 2011.
It was a rainy start to the day, but luckily it soon dried off… After their ceremony, small family groups were taken outside the church before moving on to their venue Cadbury House. Katie and Courtney made a grand entrance in their convertible wedding car and whilst everyone was already outside, I seized the opportunity to get their main groups done. Once all finished, their photographs were taken around the grounds (I think we were all slightly wore out by this stage) before they were seated for the wedding breakfast.

Holly and Dan were married at Hornsbury Mill in Chard on Thursday 14th July 2011.
It was a beautiful sunny day and my first time working at Hornsbury Mill. Photography started with Holly and her preparations, followed by Dan and their ceremony. Afterwards, the new Mr & Mrs walked down the red carpet whilst being showered in confetti. Holly and Dan were great fun to work with and the grounds offered some lovely locations for their photography. Later they had a small receiving line before being introduced into the room for their wedding breakfast. My job was then done and I left feeling hot and somewhat sun cooked!

After their ceremony, Emma and Tom planned a visit to the pier and a small wooded park area for their photographs. Despite being somewhat windy, some lovely moments were captured before returning back to their venue for the formal group shots.

Alex and Stephen were married at St. Bonaventure’s Church in Bishopston on Saturday 30th April 2011.
After their ceremony, a mad confetti throwing took place followed by some group photographs in the church grounds. Once in their wedding car, Alex and Stephen stopped off at the Clifton Suspension Bridge for some quieter shots before continuing onto their venue for the rest of their celebrations.

Hannah and John were married in the Palm Court Room in the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel on Friday 8th April 2011.
After their group photographs, Hannah and John arranged for a Limo to take them (and me) up to the Clifton Suspension Bridge for some more photographs. The weather was glorious and with an almost perfect blue sky, we all roasted in the April sun. All in all, a great day… I’m sure they will love their photographs!

Today I photographed the children of Christ Church Toddler Group – they were great!!!
I actually take my own son there, so I volunteered my services for their easter special. Some of the proceeds will be donated to the Hop, Skip & Jump South West Charity ”A play and support centre for children with special needs and their families.”
